T Fazakerley & Son, one of the North West’s oldest privately owned property consultancies was established by Thomas Fazakerley and his son Sydney in 1937.
A measure of our ongoing strength and continued performance is exemplified by the number of original instructions from 1937 which continue to be managed by the business today.
We pride ourselves on traditional values, the relationships we have built and a commitment to maintaining a personal service. We specialise in Residential, Commercial and Rural Practice covering the whole of the North West, but mainly in the Cheshire and Greater Manchester Areas.
The Company operates from Wrightington Street in the heart of the historical town of Wigan, Lancashire and is now headed by Jack Sharpe, a Chartered Surveyor who is the 5th generation of the family to run the business and succeeds his late Grandfather, Brian Fazakerley.
Jack Sharpe
Director
Jack was born and raised on a working arable farm in Warrington, Cheshire.
A Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers, Jack has over ten years property experience having worked in the rural estate management team for one of the UK’s largest property developers In addition, he has worked for an independent private practice based in the north west and more recently spent five years with a national property consultancy based in Cambridge, undertaking work throughout East Anglia where he was responsible for developing the professional services offering in the rural team.
Jack’s experience has enabled him to adapt to a variety of situations and he is equally capable of acting for both owners and occupiers. He prides himself on the relationships he has developed over time in the profession and is committed to leading the Company forward on behalf of future generations.

Sandra Ardern

Sandra joined the team in 2023, to work alongside Jack, in the Residential Lettings & Sales department.

Bettina Sharpe
Residential Sales & Lettings
Bettina joined the team in August 2021, to work alongside Jack, Sheila and Heather in the Residential Lettings & Sales department.
She originates from Wigan and when not in the office enjoys family time, her holidays and walking her border terrier Buddy.

Paul Naylor
Property Maintenance
Paul originates from Wigan where he still lives and is the lead contractor for T Fazakerley & Son.
He has worked with the firm for over 20 years and as well as being able to turn his hand to most jobs, Paul also brings high quality delivery and a reliable presence.
